We all need to add some tips here and get this forum going. Here's a quick tip for those of you drilling with a hole saw.

After the saw makes it's first contact with the wood remove the saw from the arbor and then with the pilot bit drill 3 holes in the ring that the saw left. Now finish cutting the hole. You now have an exit for the sawdust. The saw will cut much faster and you won't burn the saw or the wood. You can drill even faster if you use a hammer drill.
