Today I learned the hard way why you don't glue anything in a boat that may come out later Sad . I spent most of the afternoon tearing the old electric panel out of my boat so I can put a new one in. The panel lights and the cabin lights will be LED. I will also replace the sloppy wiring.
My father had a saying that he picked up from the Pennsylvania Dutch while living in their part of the world.

"Too soon old, and too late smart."

I can relate to your frustration Ed. Tore out my seats just to redo them cuz I wanted more foot/leg room and more butt room too.
On the other hand, there are times the opposite is true. In the basement of my last home I put panelling in. I decided to only use a finish nailer and to not glue the panelling in so that I or who ever owned the house could later decide to take the panelling off. Well, a month later the humidity started causing the panelling to bulge all over the place Cry .
