Thanks, Bud. Everything has gone better than expected. All the "original" pain is gone, replaced kindly by the pain of four screws and a steel plate. That'll mostly go away over the next few weeks, I'm sure. I'll have to figure a way to make it down there next year...crossing the SW/SE line may be tough, though....
