We are headed back to the space station. This mission is huge, which is why it posed so many problems. Atlantis is carrying a 17 ton addition to the space station, much more weight than usual-- which means more fuel, etc.... not to mention it cost 370 million dollars, so not something NASA would like to make an artifical reef out of....
