Happy New Year from Ghana! I have had... well, some wierd stuff. But none of it has killed me yet!

Happy nEw YEar BuD..we had our share of black eyed peas (i made a delicious batch) and a little bubbly to usher in the year....(by bubbly...i mean the good ol' silver bullet - as fancy as it gets)

Adla Do y'all season your peas with sows belly? If you do where do you get it? I know you aint got no hogs they aint no trees to grow no acorns for them to eat. :wink: Bud.

actually - i used a spicy sausage...cooked it in a pan, browned it and then poured some of my coors in it, covered it and let it cook...when it cooked all the liquid down I pulled the sausage out and let it sit...deglazed the pan with some more coors and then carmalized my onions in the same pan...made the peas taste super goOod and made it hard to be humble (even though we was eatn' black eyed peas they was GOoOd) i don't ask how they make the sausage and don't really wanna know but there is a pig involved.
