Anyone ever built a boat with walnut? I understand its fairly rot resistant but heavy although finished bright it would look nice. I just got a deal on about 2500' of it and wondered what to do with it. It's hard to turn down walnut for $0.24 a foot. It needs to be planed again and joined straight and some of it's rough looking but there's a lot of good wood there. MMMMMM maybe a strip canoe or with that much wood a fleet of them.
