The deck is all cut out now - I have to decide how much to pre-assemble since it won't fit out the basement door pre-assembled. I'm thinking of doing everything except one side deck. It's looking pretty good to be on schedule to start assembly in the spring.

You might want to assemble both side decks and keep them separate from each other, and the foredeck area.

That assembly is a bit wiggly till on the boat., and not much time will be saved by putting it together before taking it out.

Plenty to while away the winter hours though. bitts, mast spars wheel, cabin seat top blank, chainplate partners.... Porthole rings....deadeyes.
I am building my Weekender by myself, with not much help available. I built the deck by laying on one piece at a time, starting at the forward deck panel. There was a lot of "temporary" fitting, but it all got put on right, and fits fine. The forward bulkhead is screwed to the joiner on the forward bulkhead panel. The aft deck panels connect to the transom stringer (after being coneected together), and rest on the cabin bulkhead. From here, clamps or friends are interchangeable ( Confusedhock: ) and the rest can be fitted in.

Looking good. Keep it goin' 8)
Looks gOOd.
