Ahoy,

Bill Olney and I have been working on the new BYYB web page.
Bill has done a lot of work behind the scenes, and asked me to start the art layout. So, now you and Bill will sight land at the same time. He gets to see the page unfold just as you do.
Here's where we are so far.

We still have a lot of rigging to adjust, but we are on our way. Most likely we'll rig the home page with links to the forum, and then, complete the other pages as we have time.

Bill keeps saying somethng about two years before the mast. Wasn't that a book? I rather think we'll finish before then, unless, of course, we run into gale force winds and need to fight off a shark or two.

In the meantime, don't abandon the BYYB ship.
Oh see now THAT looks nice! Very boaty!!!

Looks nice. The first picture is of my favorite vacationer at one of my favorite sailing grounds Big Grin . To bad Scott sold his little red PC and moved to the South East .

Quite nice. The only thing I might suggest is that the layout lends itself to people with fairly high screen resolution. I personally always try to work with an 800X600 screen so that people with older equipment can still have full use of a site.

At 800X600, things still look good, but there's a bit of horizontal scrolling required. Looking at the source code for the page, I see that you've specified actual widths in pixels. You might want to experiment in changing that to a % where you can.

Just my 2cents Canadian - keep up the good work - the new BYYB rising from the ashes looks like it will be even better than the old.

Hmm, I'm torn.. While I like the look of the new one it hard to shy away from the look that has my logo on it. Big Grin
