Well, the sports page here in Naptown is all about the Volvo these days since the boats are in Baltimore's inner harbor for a stop over. Cayard did a bit of plowing with the Black Pearl coming up the Bay. Evidently he touched pretty hard on the Eastern shore right off the Bay bridge. :oops:
He ordered the jib to backwinded and was able to wiggle Pearl loose and finish 3 on this leg from Rio (5000 miles). 8)
It would have been great to win this leg since Pearl is the only American entry and this is the only American stop over. At least they made the podium. Sailing fans have given all the boats a warm welcome, it really is a drinking town with a sailing problem. 8)
