Surprise, the open Weekender is for sale.  I'm moving to a condo, and there's no place to keep her.

I built her in my garage, and launched in June of 2001.  There is lots of storage on the boat in the forepeak and in the lockers under the seats.

You can click these links to see some photos of Surprise.  She is also featured on the Stevenson website's Weekender Builder Photos Page 11.

The boat comes with:
  • Trailer.  New in 2000
    • Grease gun for the trailer wheels
  • MinnKota 40# thrust trolling motor and marine battery
  • two paddles
  • Professionally made boat cover
  • Professionally made sail cover
  • Seat cushions.  (homemade)
  • Original sails made by Ulta Sail.  They are not Dacron, but a plastic fabric of some sort with ripstop built in.  Because of the material they have not stretched.
  • Anchor
  • Stevenson Project building plans and videotapes

The boat was built with marine plywood that had a beautiful finish.  I varnished some of it instead of painting it because it is so nice.  The mast is Douglas fir, and the rub rails are mahogany.  The blocks are all Harken.  I repainted the hull and decks last summer, but didn't get to the seats, which could use from fresh paint.  The hull, decks, and sole are all fiberglassed, so the boat is easy to maintain.

Yeas ago I added an aluminum shoe to the keelson.  I think water may be getting in there a little, because there is a small seam on the starboard side of the keelson that opened up. It's about 1/32 inch wide.

I'm asking $1,900 for the whole lot.
