If you're thinking about building a boat, the Lake Pepin Messabout is a great opportunity to see several homebuilt boats, and talk to their builders.  There are always a few Weekenders on hand.  The messabout is on the Minnesota and Wisconsin border in beautiful Lake City, MN.  You can find full details and photos from previous events at LakePepinMessabout.com.

I'll be there probably with my weekender because I won't have time to set up my sailing canoe or my compac 16.  I will have my lapper with me so that if the wind isn't too high people could try it to see if they like it as much as I do.
