I know I'm a bit ahead of myself, but I got to thinking about where to put the name of my boat.

I like the idea of a bronze nameplate but... trailboards seem a little pretentious for a rowboat, and there's no transom to display a name, so what do I do?  Did they even bother to name peapods?  Maybe a little bronze badge with the builder's (my) name and some identifying specs?  What is the etiquette for such a boat regarding names, leaning toward the traditional?

Not sure if I trust myself to properly paint the name under the outwale, but maybe it's not so hard?

Opinions and experience please?

Thx.
If she's to carry registration numbers forward, the logical place is aft, to counter balance the "weight" of the numbers.

If she hasn't a registration number, then forward is appropriate.
