in this area. Yikes. I read some pretty scary stuff. There are several really good sailing books if you guys don't want to take a class first. Pick one up and leave it in the "oval office". Remember a few simple things like keep the lines organized and neat so they can run clean, sheet with both thumbs towards you, never wrap the line around your hand for more leverage, learn to heave to, reef early and often, when you have a ton of weather helm the boat is overpowered, wear your life jacket and take a handheld VHF. OK.....go have fun, play safe.
