Full Version: Pocket cruiser - Extra keels instead of dagger boards

I think this is a freekin awesome idea.  (Hope you don't mind me sharing this Ronald.)
I want to do this to my pocket cruiser.  Ronald hasn't had the chance to sail it yet to give feedback, BUT why would it not work?
The boat would sit flat on the beach too, there is more room in the cabin, it is easier than making the dagger boards and casings, and cheaper too.
Anyone want to argue against it??  Seriously, is there something we should consider?

Very cool!

When do you plan to get on the water?  I'm not an expert or anything, but This should work as far as I can tell.  I hope you will report back with some sailing stories.  If it turns out to be a big benefit, it would be a pretty simple upgrade to make for a weekender too.

Looks interesting, how long are they? Extra wetted surface shouldn't slow you that much and the benefit of settling on the bottom and not laying over is cool.
I am interested in if the Mod worked.
