That's the metaphorical anchors of procrastination; having to mow the lawns, paying the phone bill instead of buying timber etc etc that hold up the real start of a new build! Tomorrow I go and pick up the Irish timber (O'Regan!!) I have found that I'm going to build my keel out of. It's 7 by 3 and 6metres long (3 of them) and beautiful straight grained 'real' timber - old second hand of course - we can't get that sort of Oregan here any more.
I've decided to make up my keel in the solid using this timber and can't wait to get gluing and lofting it all out. - already have the profile marked out on my garage floor and it looks great!
