Greetings Marcelo,

Blue and White are fine colors for a Vacationer and Weekender.  In my humble opinion, the boats with dark blue or dark green hulls and white or cream colored topsides, possibly with tanbark or cream colored sails, look the best

I am surprised that you have the spare time to post any information here on the BYYB web site at all this week.

After all, Argentina is still playing well in the World Cup Tournament, having made it to the semi finals and are favorites for a matchup with Brazil in the finals.

Smile

Ryerson, Keith, Dennis & Greg,

Made Merry and the Ginny Rae in Argentina !!!  Wow, you guys get around.  Smile

My Spanish is not the best, but Marcelo seems to be interested in a current census of Vacationers and Weekenders.  Our membership list is a fairly good proxy for a registry, but not the same as a registry.  Maybe we should figure out how to start an official registry of completed Vacationers, Weekenders, and Pocket Cruisers to keep track of our boats. The Friendship Sloop Society has a nice little Registry at http://fss.org/sloops.htm which lists the registration number, name, owner, size, age, home port, etc., and includes a link to a photo.  Any thoughts?  Who wants to be boat #1?

Cheers,
Tom
Welcome Marcelo, Fine looking Vacationer! It appears that you have raised the cabin roof height. If so, how much did you raise it and what kind of height do you have now between cabin sole and cabin top?

capnpablo
Yup that's Made Merry and Ginny Rae alright. That was during our "out of the blue" messabout a couple years ago.

Greg
Thanks Dan, Tom, Greg, capnpablo by your welcome gretting´s.

Tom, when I beguin to build my Vacationer  I saw  this website and by this time (november, december 2008) had little activity, at least, that it seemed to me, by this reason I forget this url..... uhhh, a  big mistake!!! Here there is much aid it would have liked to see before!

This is a very good idea! a little database online with this fields: builder, owner, model, location, link to website, email, photo. Any google maps geo-reference...

I saw in fss.org but the search is very difficult.

capnpablo, I raise the roof six inchs, in the middle of the cabin has 45 inchs height.

Tom, worldcup is so hard..... You know what happened with brazil! Alemania frightens me.... are very fast!!!

Greg, excuseme by use your photo, this is the only that has both boats together (vacationer and weekender).  If you want, I can change it by other.

Regards from Argentina.
Oh no need to change the picture, please enjoy it, I'm always glad to share boat photos and stories with others.
