im looking to cut a motorwell into the lazarette of my vacationer. anybody got any references i can look to for guidance? Chris Gerkin built a vac with a well and he had posted pics about it, but i dont see him on the memberslist anymore. they probably put him back in the insane asylum. :lol: anyway, any tips would be appreciated
Just a thought, Ken, but if you were to glass 3 sides of the well in first, you could then drill a hole from the inside of the well at each of the four corners. Connect the dots and dive in with the jigsaw. Or glass all four sides in, then use a router with a flush-cut bit and a bottom bearing to cut the deck and hull.
What is it that you are planning on doing other than a big hole motor well?
For outboard or electric? Do you want to have it retractable or just hanging down in the well? I might be able to help you with some ideas here if I know a bit more about what you are thinking. :roll:
