I started the modification of the cockpit seating.  My first step was to extend the lazarette sides all the way to the hull sides.  I made cardboard templates of the oddly shaped trapazoids need to fill the gaps, then transferred the templates to plywood and cut them out.  I used stringers on top and botton following the curve of the lazarette.  The trapazoids were glued and screwed to the stringers and to 1X2 panel jointers which attached them to the lazarette.  Next I laid out and installed the strigers for the seat section in the forward section of the cockpit.  Next up is the support at the lazarette for the wooden seats that will span the open space between the forwad seat and the lazarette.  I'm following Barry Payeatt's idea.

I'll post some photos of my progress.
