I was up at the EAA convention in Oshkosh (flying is one of my interests) and found the figurehead for my Weekender at the flea market there. Â I know mermaids are supposed to be bad luck, but not this one! Â She's supporting the bowsprit on her back.

Not concrete, but cast metal. I will repaint with an appropriate paint. Weighs about 5-7 pounds. How much can I stick up there without creating a problem with sailing characteristics?
