I finished the keel for my weekender, and christened the boat "Molly" after our 12 year old Golden Retriever. She's not going to be around long, but I hope she gets one sail in her namesake! The keel is built of Douglas fir. The left side lamination developed a bit of a cup in it so I had to use way more screws that I planned to straighten things out. On to the hull bottom, which I will scarf together.
