As most of you know, the BYYB site was hacked yesterday and thoroughly clobbered.

While a hanging party for the hacker is in order, the site was in need of a facelift and that is in progress right now.

In the short term, we have directed the homepage to these forums so you can still have a place to post.

We'll follow up with more later.
Well done, I might add. Very little down time for such a disaster :!:

Big Grin  Smile  Big Grin

Congratulations are in order in restoring the site so quickly.
Thanks for getting us back up !!! Everyone appreciates the work you do to keep the board going Richard!!!

Rich let me know if I can help in anyway. Good show so far!

Rob McKinney

yes keep up the good work...anything we can do to help?
Way to go! As for all of you volunteers, anyone familiar with designing web pages? We will also need help going about transferring the messages from old and hacked to new and improved. Now that Richard, Bill, and Jim have built us this here raft we need help bringing her to port and commissioning a newer and better ship. Lets roll up our sleeves!

Steven Hunt

Well done!!!

Huzzahs for Richard!!!

I would like to help too, but I am pulling the plugs out here in Ohio. United Van Lines will be here in the morning. We'll see you again after we get settled in Queen Creek...

Hang in there. The pro's will get this up and running and I for one think that it will be new and improved and easier to use.

Sincerely hope that the prior forum(s) posts will somehow still be available to search.

Strong applause for Richard, Barnacle Jim and Bill Olney for their efforts to restore a viable forum for everyone.
I'm a HUGE Bill Olney FAN !!!! Barnacle Jim is one of the nicest persons I have ever met and I am certain Richard Norman is as Noble - (silent, constant) !!! This site is the bulwark against solitude in Stevenson boatbuilding madness. If i knew my way around the 1's ad 0's I'd offer help - but I don't.

i offer applause -

a.
Allow me to add to the cheering throng. Good luck with the database restore but mostly thanks for getting some functionality up and running on what we all know is your own personal time.
