I have been collecting blocks ever since I started building this boat. But now I look at them and wonder if they'll be strong enough. The fixed eye ones are cast....



That's a quarter there, for scale.

Any thoughts?

They'll be strong enough - those are the blocks called for in the plans. You may want to consider upgrading at some point but what you have will get you on the water and last a year or two.

I plan on making my own after I launch, along with deadeyes. They're way cooler 8) 8) 8)

Just not enough time left for anything else overly "crafty"

Good idea Brit. I made my blocks and they look great and were practically free.
