Full Version: Little more progress

A while back Adla was talking about a wood ceiling in her Weekender, how she had to roll the boat over to do it and also how she wished she had thought about it before. Well I have to thank you Adla for putting the idea in my head and Keith for helping me with the how.
What I did is I have 1/2" Merenti ply and it is a mahogany species, and when finished bright it is beautiful. So what I did is I routed out a cove every 4" to make it look like a cove and bead planked roof.
So far it looks great. I also got the sheet up on the roof and clamped down (no pic of that). Here are a couple of pics...

Had a good time and learned a lot about the boat. We had some good wind and a little rain on Saturday and lots of sun and no wind on Sunday. We had a good time and I had the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. I am really looking forward to the sailstice.
