I am a day or two away from attaching the hull side panels. My question is about the transom/side panel joint. Does the side panel run past the transom or does the side panel butt to the transom? The first option makes more sense considering the stringers but I thought I would check with y'all to make sure.

It's sad that I could do either way but that is the way it is.

It is far easier to run the hull sides past the transom and trim them to fit after installation.

Agreed! Changing the stringers to allow the side panels to butt into the transom isn't worth the hassle. It is a better joint if the panels are overlapping the sides of the transom.
