Wow! Nice show, thanks for sharing the photos. 8)
It isn't just the boats at the dock, it is the entire experience of being there with so many fine wooden boats and then seeing them parading back and forth all mingled together up and down the length of the Port Townsend waterfront. Seeing the sister ship of the Lady Washington (The Hawaiian Chiefton) challenging the entire flotilla with her cannons blasting away. Seeing some old salts and young salts rowing and sailing in prams and even a dual hulled raft with a pallet tied to two logs and rigged for a sail and an oar for a tiller working its way back and forth with some teens having a ball. Seeing a fleet of schooners in a race around 5 markers in full sail and then getting to get up close and personal with them all.
The workshops and the classes and the commercial exhibitors that you couldn't see anywhere else. Open chandlries, shops, galleries and a city that welcomes everyone with charm, grace and the seafairing spirit.

Just a couple ferry rides away from Seattle, or in Joel's case a short drive up the Olympic Penninsula.
