Has anyone here built a mini cup, I just had acouple questions.

1) About how much do they cost to build?

2)do you think it could be strapped to the roof of a pt cruiser?

3)about how fast do they get in a good wind?

anyways here is hopign I can finish building it while i still live in Dunedin, FL Tampa might be tougher to find a good spot to keep it and sail it.

Answers:

A) - how much money do you have? ;-) Seriously, if you go with marine plywood, epoxy and fiberglass, you'll be spending a fair bit of money. I went cheap on some things and expensive on others and spent $1500Cdn 7 years ago.

B) - How strong are you? The hull weight is about 130lbs - without a helper or some mechanical aid, you need to be a body builder to get it up there. That said, I've seen them strapped to the top of a small car before.

C) - Yee haw!!! Depending on how much weight you have in it (I'm on the heavy side myself), you can move along pretty quick, but it would be a lucky day for you to beat a laser with only 75sq ft of sail.
