I learned a neat method to tie off the mainsail on a boat that keeps everything at hand and neat and out of the way.

Far better than using sail ties or bungy cords with ballas on the end.

I figure I am going to convert my boats to this new method.

That looks like a fine idea. Now I need to go and get the materials and do it before I forget about it

Hi keith,

Let me know if you find a source for those shock cord fittings.

Thanks,

Dave G.

I think the shock cord is simply held in place with eyestraps.
Ronstan offers a plastic (nylon I think) hook, their # PNP84 and Perko has a cast, chrome plated (zinc) hook, their number 1249DPOCHR, they also have a stamped stainless piece for holding down canvas covers that will work as well and is light and smaller.
NICE!! I just rigged up a rope bungee combo yesterday for mine But I'm gonna change that now.. Nice and neat.
