Sheba is my name, commander of the sailing vessel Phoebus. My two-legged crew accompany me on numerous voyages sailing on Lake Huron’s Georgian Bay and North Channel. Thought I’d share a few experiences from a canine perspective.

The First Officer takes the helm as we leave Killarney Channel in Georgian Bay. Our Week-ender’s name is Phoebus and in tow is the Amphora Phoebling.

Phoebus is easily manoeuvred into waters that intimidate bigger boats. However, the crew did leave signature traces of blue paint on a few rocks! The cook’s hiding on the foredeck. Not to criticize, but my meals taste an awful lot like dog food.

Look at all the gas cans!

What was the crew thinking?

So this is what the weather guys mean by “light and variable” winds.
Is there no more canvas we can set?
